What do we do?

We are an Air gun sporting Club in North Devon, covering many disciplines. We have the use of a field where we provide a safe environment for both outdoor and indoor shooting.

Only rifles and pistols that are below the legal limit for airguns are allowed. Such guns can be held by adults over 18 without the need for a licence.

We meet regularly on Sunday mornings and on demand at other times. We aim to have fun, whilst enjoying our sport in the safest possible manner.

This is a family orientated club where partners are welcome as participators or just visitors. We have built a reputation for our hospitality which we intend to maintain.

Where are we?

At Shebbear, North Devon, in the centre of a triangle between Torrington, Holsworthy and Hatherleigh.

How to join?

First, make yourself known by contacting a committee member using any of the routes shown on the Contact Us page.

Second, make arrangements to come along one Sunday morning and meet us, with no obligation. You'll probably get the opportunity to try out several types of air rifle and pistol, and we always recommend new recruits to do just that before they visit a gunshop and part with their hard-earned cash. Members are usually more than ready to show off their guns, and will almost always tell it like it is, warts and all.

There are just a few formalities, a membership application form to fill in, and the small matter of annual subs to be paid. Our subscription year is from February to January. For more information and an application form.

Keeping it safe and legal

To underwrite our aim of enjoying our sport in the safest possible manner, we have crafted a set of rules, for outside and inside activities, a safety policy, a child protection policy and, of course, ensure members adherence to the Firearms Act Section 21.
